L-Methionine has urine acidifying properties that reduce the re-formation of struvite stones. Struvite stones, or phosphate-ammonium-magnesium, are formed in the urine with an alkaline pH.

UrinoMet can be used in dogs with recurrent lower urinary tract problems.
