Let the benchmark be a comparison that breaks in my head every time I listen to this album - we have a combination of Tangerine Dream from the turn of the eighties and nineties and Enigma from the period of their best first three albums, and I am writing it in an absolutely positive context (and not only because that the sixth piece regales us with Gregorian chant). Here, a similar magic occurs in the suit of Berlin sequences and stellar spaces, at times closer to mandarin dreams (especially in Exothermic Energy), at other times it falls again towards an enigmatic даунтемпо (most in Inside Out and Fertile Soil), but usually oscillating somewhere between those apparently divergent poles, so brilliantly, though perhaps not intentionally, associated by Шредер in a musical journey not striving for ambitious programming or instrospective experiences, but providing a powerful charge of such ordinary listening pleasure.
